Invites
- How do I invite people to join TKE LIVE?
- If you like what you see and want more Member to join, you should send out some invites. First, go to "Send an Invite" in the top right hand corner of your screen. Once there, you will be able to enter the email addresses of the people that you want to send invites to. After you click "send", the person you invited will receive an email with a private link that will allow them to sign up. Please note that as an added security measure, each invite sent out can only be used once.
- Can I send more than one invite at a time?
-
You can by using our contact importer, also found under "Send an
Invite". On the invite page, click on the "Invite from
email" button to import your email contact list(s). You will be
taken to a secure page that will ask you for your login and password*
that you use for your email account. After you login, a list of your
contacts will be displayed and you will be able to choose which contacts
you want to send invites to.
* Please note that TKE LIVE will not store your login or password information.
- Someone that I sent an invite to says that when they click on the link in the email, it does not allow them to sign up. Why is this?
-
If the person you sent the invite to has this problem, they must have
forwarded their invite to someone else. Each invite has a unique link
that can only be used once. You'll need to send them a new invite to a
different email address* and remind them to not forward the invite or the
same thing will happen again.
* If you sent the first invite to their work account, send the new invite to their Gmail / Hotmail account.
- It says that my friend has signed up on my invite page, but I can not find them in the network. Why is this?
- As a security measure, when you send an invite it is invisibly marked with who it is from. If your friend let someone else use their invite (e.g. by forwarding the email), then it will appear on your invite list that your friend has signed up. The solution here is to send your friend a new invite to a different email account (Hotmail, Gmail, etc.) so they can try sign up again.
- My friend has not received their verification email after signing up. How can I help them?
- Tell your friend that on the login page there is a help button. If they click on it, they will see a link "I have not received the email to activate my account." This will walk them through a few steps to have the system resend their verification email. If they try this and still get no verification email, their serverâ firewall might be blocking it or it is being buried in their junk mail folder. In this case, tell them to email us at live@tke.com and we can activate their account manually.
Photos
- How do I upload photos?
-
There are three ways to upload/share photos on TKE LIVE. They are:
- Personal photos, see "How do I create an album?"
- Chapter or National photos, see â "How do I add photos to chapter or national album?"
- Event photos, see "How do I add photos to an event?"
- What is an album?
- A photo album is a set of personal, chapter or event photos that someone has uploaded to TKE LIVE. Albums are for sharing photos with your contacts, Chapter, or Region. Anyone viewing a photo can then "tag people" "in the photo (this is a good thing), write a comment, and report it if it violates the network terms of service.
- How do I create an album?
-
- Click on "My Photos"
- At the top of the page click on "+ New Album"
- Type in a name for the album and click on "Create Album"
- If you have never uploaded any photos before or you are on a different computer, you will be prompted to install a small application to upload the photos. Please click "Yes" to any messages that appear during this process.
- Select the photos you want to upload by checking the boxes located in the top right corner of each photo (thumbnail). You can also rotate them as well.
- Click "Upload" and your photos will automatically be resized and uploaded to TKE LIVE.
- Add a description to whichever pics you want and select one as the cover of your album.
* If you are having any trouble installing the application or uploading photos, there is a simple version of the photo uploader located at the bottom title "I am having trouble uploading my photos"
- I'm having problems uploading my photos. What should I do?
-
Here's a few things you can try if you are experiencing problems while
uploading photos:
- Your connection to the site might be slow. The solution to this is to wait a few minutes and then try again.
- Double check that you have selected the right kind of files (.gif, .jpg., or .png). The network blocks all other file types.
- Try using our manual up-loader. Click on "I am having trouble uploading my photos" at the bottom of the upload screen.
If none of the suggestions work, send us an email: live@tke.com. Include a quick description of what you see on your screen and what operating system and version you use (ie: Windows XP.) We can then investigate the issue and provide you with a solution.- How do I delete a photo that I've uploaded?
-
If you accidentally uploaded a picture that shouldn't be in an album,
don't panic, you can always delete it.
- Open the album that contains the photo(s) you want to delete.
- Click on "My Photos"
- Click on the "Album"
- Click "Edit Album"
- Check the boxes labeled "delete?" beside the photos you want to get rid of.
- Click "Save Changes" at the very bottom of the page.
- How many photos can I upload?
- You can create unlimited albums, with a maximum of 80 photos per album.
- What is photo tagging?
- Photoâ taggingâ also known as "tagging" is the greatest thing since sliced bread! We recommend that everyone learn how to use this feature because it is the fastest way to share photos with your friends and you get to see more pictures of yourself that other people took. :)
- How do I tag one of my contacts in a photo?
-
- Click on any thumbnail of a photo to go to its enlarged version.
- Click on the round tag button next to the photo or the 'Tag this Photo' link below the photo.
- Click on the person, place, or thing that you recognize in the photo.
- A dotted box will appear around the area that you clicked on with a menu for you to select or enter the name to the right.
- Selected the person, place, or thing from the list and the name will appear underneath the photo.
- Click the "done" button at the bottom of the page. Members you tagged will receive an email to let them know that you just found them in a photo, and the photo(s) will then appear in their My Photos page in the "Tagged by other people" section.*
* If they don't want the photo in their profile, they can simply click "remove" next to their name and this will erase your tag.
- Can I tag people who are not currently using TKE LIVE in a photo?
- Coming soon: This is a GREAT way to encourage Greeks you know to join. If you type in the name of someone who is not all ready a member, you can include their email address and select if they are part of the community. An email will then be sent to the person with a private link to view the only the photo they are in.
- Can I tag other people's photos?
- Yes, but they will be notified and will have the option to remove your tag.
- How much does it cost to upload photos?
- Like every other feature, no charge whatsoever! :-)
- Who can see my photos?
- Currently, your contacts, members of your Chapter can see your albums. We will soon be adding in the ability for you to change privacy settings for each album.
- There's a photo of me on TKE LIVE that I want taken down.
-
-
On the enlarged photo, find your name listed below and click the "remove tag"
link. This will remove the photo from your Photos section.
- If you are having problems with a person constantly tagging you in embarrassing photos, simply remove them off your contact list (main menu, â"My Contacts") and this will stop them from being able to tag you, or, stop posing in embarrassing photos!
- If you want the photo removed all together, you'll need to ask/message the person who posted it to do so. TKE LIVE CANNOT delete photos that abide to our terms of service.
-
On the enlarged photo, find your name listed below and click the "remove tag"
link. This will remove the photo from your Photos section.
- What do I do when I see an offensive photo?
- Underneath any photo is an option to anonymously report it to us. If you click on "Report this Photo" you will be able to select why the photo violates our terms of service for us to review. Once we confirm that the photo violates our terms of service a TKE LIVE representative will delete it, and depending on the situation, will warn our suspend the person who posted it.
Contacts
- What are contacts?
- Contacts are people who you have met or know that you want to keep in contact with. Anyone you add to your contact list, assuming they accept your request, will be able to view your profile, tag photos of you, and read news feed items about you, unless you have changed your preferences in My Profile.
- How do I add someone as a contact?
-
You can add anyone using TKE LIVE as a contact, but unless
they are in your chapter or campus, you will not be able to see their profile until
they have approved your request.
- Type in the person's name in the search bar above the main menu.
- Click on the magnifying glass or hit >enter&rt; on your keyboard.
- Find the person who you are looking from the list of people shown.*
- To the right of the person's name, click the button "Add Contact".
- A contact request will be sent to that person and once they confirm that they actually know you, they will appear on your Contact List.
* If you cannot find the person you are looking for, you can always send them an invite to join as long as they are part of the Community anywhere in North America.
- If I reject someone, will they know?
- No. When you reject someone, their contact request will be removed from your list of pending contacts, and they will not be notified.
- If I remove someone from my Contacts List, will they be notified?
- No, and you will also automatically be taken off their Contact List as well.
- What does "Make me invisible" on my Contacts page do?
- Modern privacy at it's best. You may have a friend or someone that you knew from the past that doesn't exactly embody your current lifestyle, but you still want to keep in touch with them. The solution is to make yourself invisible to their contacts. If turned on, you will still be able to see that person on your contact list, but your other contacts will not. They will also be able to see you on their contact list, but their contacts will not. They will not know that you have turned on this feature, and no one will know that you are contacts except for that person.
- If I make myself invisible to someone will they know?
- No. They will still see you on their contact list and they will still see their self on yours. The only difference is that your other contacts will not know that you two are contacts.
- Can I send out a message to my entire Contact List?
- No. We thought about giving people this ability until we realized that how many chain letters and how much spam it would cause. You'll have to trust us on this one, everyone has benefited from the absence of this feature.
Calendar
- Who can create events?
- Anyone can create a personal event. Admins can create Chapter events. Administrators can create Region, International and TKE LIVE events.
- How do I create an event?
-
- Click on "Calendar" in your main menu.
- Click on "+Add Event" at the top.
- Fill out the event details and invite the people that you wish to attend.
- Emails will be sent out to notify people that they are invited to the event, except when Administrator creates Region or TKE LIVE events.
- The event will automatically be added to people's calendar based on Mandatory, RSVP, etc.
- How do I invite people to an event?
- Anyone can create a personal event. Admins can create Chapter events. Administrators can create Chapter, Region and International events.
- What determines the type of event (personal, Chapter, Region or TKE LIVE)?
- Only Administrators or Admins can change an event type and it is determined by who they invite to it. Admins have additional options to invite: new members, actives, alumni. If any of these are selected the event would automatically become a "Chapter" event. Administrators can do this too, but are also given the ability to invite any Chapter on Region, the whole Region, or their TKE LIVE, which will either make it a chapter, campus, or Fraternity/Sorority event which is automatically set by who they invite.
- Who can edit or delete events?
- If it is a personal event, only the person who created it can edit or delete it. Chapter events can be edited or deleted by the event planner that created it or any Administrator. Region and TKE LIVE events can only be edited or deleted by Administrators.
- How do I search for events?
-
Click on Calendar and all the events that you are invited to will be listed in your
"Day Calendar" or displayed your monthly view.
If you are looking for an OPEN event that you have not been personally invited to, type in its name into the search bar above your main menu. You will then see a list of all the events that you are allowed to attend that closely matched your search.
- How do I invite the members of a group to an event?
- While creating an event, when you select your invitees, the groups that you administrate will appear on your list as an option to invite.
- What are the privacy options for events?
-
- Open: Anyone can add themselves to the guest list without approval. They can see the event information, Board, and photos.
- Open by Invitation Only: People need to be invited to be on the guest list, but they can also add their friends to the guest list. Only people who have received an invite can see the event Board and photos. People who are not invited will not see any news Feed stories about the event.
- Closed: The event can not be found in searches. These events are invitation only, determined by the person who created the event. People who have not been invited cannot view the event info, Board, or photos. They also will not see any News Feed stories about the event.
- How do I delete an event that I created?
- If you are the person that created the event, you can also delete the event. The only exception to this is that any Administrator can delete a Chapter, Region or TKE LIVEevent. If an event is deleted, no notification will go out, but the event will automatically be removed from everyone's calendar.
- When I click on map, why is it not displaying the proper directions?
- Double check that you have entered the events full address including zip/postal code. If it is still not showing properly, the address must be wrong.
- How do I RSVP to an event?
- If you are invited to an event, it will be posted on your Calendar and depending on what type of event it is you will receive a notification via email. Follow the link in the email, or go to your Calendar. Click on the event to view its details. On the right side you will be able to select whether you are "attending," "maybe attending," or "not attending." Your RSVP comments will be displayed next to your picture in the event details.

- Select the photos that you want to upload
- Click "Upload"
- The photos will appear on the events page in view all, segregated by who uploaded them. They will also appear in your "My Photos" in the event photo section.
- Anyone who can see the photos can then tag them or write comments.
Statistics and Rankings
- How do TKE LIVE generate their statistics?
- We have implemented algorithms to add, subtract and sort information, so that you can see the big picture about your community on a Chapter, Region, TKE LIVE, and global scale. This information will help us all stay competitive and connected. The statistics are limited to people using the network, so to make them as accurate as possible you need to send as many invites that you can to anyone you know.
Browse
- What is Browse?
-
Browse, a selection on your main menu, allows you to quickly and easily look up people on
TKE LIVE. By using the tabs at the top of the screen you can either
browse "By Person" "By Region" "By Chapter"
For all other searches use the search field found above your main menu.
Emails from TKE LIVE
- How do I change the email address my TKE LIVE sends to?
-
Your login email address is where your email notifications will be sent. Here's how to
change the email address notifications get sent to, which will also change your login
e-mail:
- Click on "Edit" beside My Profile
- Go to the "General" tab
- Type in your new email address - this will also become your new login.
- Click the "Save Changes" button
- Log into your email account
- If you are in a Fraternity, add mailer@fraternitylive.com to your contact / acceptable sender list.
- If you are in a Sorority, add mailer@sororitylive.com to your contact / acceptable sender list
This will prevent TKE LIVE e-mails from hiding in your junk box.
- How do I stop TKE LIVE from sending me emails?
-
You can adjust what type of email notifications you want to receive. Here's how:
- Click on "Edit" beside My Profile
- Click on the "Preferences" button near the top
- Uncheck whichever email notifications that you are not interested in
- Click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom
Please Note: Some email notifications are not currently listed, but we are working to fix that.
- I'm not getting emails from TKE LIVE anymore, what do I do?
-
- There are two possibilities that you need to consider in order to solve this issue:
- Check your "Preferences" in "Edit" Your Profile. Whatever is checked is being sent out.
- Our messages to you must be getting blocked somewhere.
- Check your spam or junk folders
- Contact your email provider and ask them if TKE LIVE emails are being blocked.
- I received an email from someone asking for my TKE LIVE password, should I respond?
- No. Passwords are encrypted and stored on our server. Never, and we mean never, should you ever have to give anyone your password. Not even someone that claims to work at TKE LIVE or TSOT.
Privacy
- Does TKE LIVE distribute my user information?
- No and never.
- How can I further protect my privacy?
-
TKE LIVE were built to help Chapter and the entire work Community
grow stronger. You have many options to manage your privacy, but the fundamental rule of
thumb is that if you are not comfortable with something - do not post it.
For everything else, we have implemented many automated systems and security blocks to make sure that this place is as safe as possible without limiting your freedom and the ability for you to conduct your business. We have methods to identify spamming, hacking, overuse, basically anything that violates our Terms of Service policy. We also have all the necessary barriers to protect TKE LIVE secrecy. All of the other large social networking sites (Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo Groups) were not built with a organization in mind.
Having said that, we are constantly trying to improve all of our privacy controls, so we ask two things of you to keep the quality of the system as high as possible.
- Use the "Request a Feature" link to suggest things that you like / do not like about TKE LIVE
- Report anyone or any photo that makes you feel uncomfortable. It is completely anonymous and will help us suspend or remove unwanted users and material.
- What do I do if someone is harassing or belittling me?
-
You can block the person by listing his or her name in the "Blocking People" page (coming
soon).
If the person is doing things that can not be blocked, please contact us. Provide the name and Chapter of the person who is harassing you along with a description of what they are doing.
- How do I block people?
- (Coming Soon)
- What happens when I block someone?
- (Coming Soon)
- My privacy question has not been answered.
- If we have not yet answered your privacy related question, please email it to us at: privacy@fraternitylive.com
My Profile
- Who can see my profile and who's profiles can I see on this network?
- This network was built to encourage members of your organization to interact while still maintaining your privacy. You can view the profiles of members from your Chapter, Region, and TKE LIVE, unless someone has changed their privacy settings. You can also see the profiles of people whom you add as a contact as long as they have accepted your request.
- Can people tell if I view their profile?
- No, unless you do something like write on their Board, message or poke them, etc.
- Is it a good thing that my contacts can see my profile?
- As long as you are happy with the material that you post about yourself than the answer is YES. This network was built to help Chapter grow stronger and stay connected with each other and the community. Posting stuff about yourself will only encourage others to do the same. You'll benefit from this because you will know and see more about everything around you, which will help you network and make better decisions.
- How do I minimize or expand sections of My Profile?
- You can minimize any section of your profile to save space. To do this, simply click on the "arrow" to the left of a section's header/name. To expand a section, click on the "arrow" again.
- If I minimize a section on a contact's profile will this affect them?
- No. Everyone has their own personal settings, so whatever sections you minimize or expand while you are logged in will only be seen by you.
- I cannot see a section of My Profile. Where did it go?
- The most likely reason for this is that you have minimized the section. This means that the header for the section is showing somewhere on your profile page, but the content is hidden. If you click on the arrow on the left side of the header, the section will show the full content again.
- How do I upload a profile picture?
-
- On your profile click on "Change your Pic" under your photo. (The default photo is a male or female symbol.)
- "Browse" your computer’s files and find a picture of yourself that you like.
- Click on the button "upload" and a few seconds later... presto, you’re you!
- How do I change my location?
- Click on "Edit My Profile" and click on "Contact" near the top. Whatever you enter as your school address (if you are a new or active member) or work address (if you are an alumnus) will display as your location on your profile. Only your city will be visible in your profile, the rest of your address will only display in your chapter phone list.
- How do I change my Birthday or Relationship?
- Click on "Edit My Profile" and on "Personal" near the top and you will be able to change them. Be sure to save your changes before you go to another page or your information will not be updated.
- I edited my profile, but none of my changes are showing. What happened?
- We understand that this is frustrating, but the reason why your changes are not showing is that you did not save them before moving onto the next page. Every page in "Edit Profile" has a "Save Profile" button at the bottom of the screen that you need to click on so that your changes will be saved.
- What is my "Status" for?
-
You can type in anything you want knowing that when your contacts, Chapter, Region
see it, they will know what you are up to at the time. It is a
fun way to share more about yourself that people will respond to because it appears
on their news feed whenever you change it, unless you have changed your news feed
preferences.
Example: I am "cramming for a midterm" or "looking for a summer job" or "so happy right now!"
- What is the News Feed?
-
The news feed, found on your home and profile page, brings things to your
attention that your contacts have done recently on
TKE LIVE.
-
COVERED by the news feed:
- Contacts added
- Changes to profiles (pic, info, etc.)
- Photos uploaded
- Photos tagged
- Comments on photos
- Stuff written on boards
- Events (only the ones you are invited to)
- Blogs
- Votes in the photo contest
-
NEVER shown on the news feed:
- Messages
- Pokes
- Profiles you viewed
- Photos you viewed
- Blogs you read
- Events you declined
- People you removed as contacts
- Members removed from a Chapter
- Chapter finances
- Events that you are not invited to
-
COVERED by the news feed:
- How does the news feed work?
- We’re still figuring that out... just kidding! We’ve actually implemented a complex set of algorithms that catch changes in the network and show only the ones that relate to you. We would go into more depth, but sometimes the sauce has to stay a secret.
- How can I change what is covered by the news feed?
-
The news feed covers a lot, but it doesn't cover everything. You will only
see stories about things that you are allowed to see, which is determined by
people’s and Chapter’s privacy settings. To change what the news
feed covers about you, go to "Edit Profile" and click on
"Preferences>Feed Preferences". There you will be able to limit what
is covered by the news feed.
Example: If you turn off "show my blog feeds" then your contacts news feeds will NEVER catch your new blog posts, even though you may be writing something everyday!
- I have changed my news feed preferences, but things I removed are still on my news feed.
- Changes only affect future occurrences. Any previous things about you will show until new stuff takes its place. Because the feed is always updating itself, based on regular usage, the old stuff usually will be replaced in a few hours.
- How do I change the stuff in my "About" section on my profile?
- Click on "Edit Your Profile" and click on "Personal" near the top. There you can add stuff to "More About Me"" or "My Favorite Stuff". Remember to click on "Save Profile" at the bottom of your screen before going to another page.
- How do I change stuff in the "Background" section of my profile?
- Click on "Edit Your Profile" and click on "School" or "Work" near the top. There you will be able to enter information about various schools you went to and jobs that you have had. Always remember to click on "Save Profile" at the bottom of your screen before going to another page.
- What is the "board" on my profile?
-
The board is a place where your friends and contacts can leave you a quick
public message. This feature has its benefits over sending a private message
in that it will spread information faster because anyone who can see your
profile can read it. Whenever someone writes on your board you will receive
a notification email, unless you have disabled this feature.
Example: If you write "Are you going to the movies tonight?" on someone's board and they say "Yes" on yours, then your friends will be able to ask you if they can come too.
- Who can write on my board?
- Your contacts, people from your Region, can write on your board.
- How do I write on a Board?
-
Member profiles*, Chapters, Regions and Internationals all have
a board that people can write on. Wherever you see a board, just go to the top
right corner of the header and click on the link that says "Write
on ... Board". A text box will appear that you can write a message in.
Once you are finished, click on "Post Message" and your message will be
added to the board.
* If you write on a personal board, that person will receive an email notifying them that someone has written on their board.
- I don't like what someone has written on my Board. What do I do?
- Delete it. You can delete messages on your board as well as messages you have written on other people's boards by clicking on the small "x" in the top right corner of the message.
- I'm having trouble reading my Board.
- Try downloading a newer version of your web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox (recommended.) If you still cannot see the board, send an email describing your problem to: live@tke.com.
- What does "Send Message" do?
- "Send Message" is like sending someone an email except the content of the message never leaves the network. Instead, the person will receive an email to notify them that there is a new message from you on TKE LIVE to read. It is a way to send a private message to someone that will NEVER appear on the news feed.
- Why would I use "Send Message" instead of just sending them an email?
- Messaging is much safer and more reliable than using traditional email. Often emails get blocked by filters, hidden amongst work or other emails, or simply sent to the wrong person. Using "send message" on TKE LIVE guarantees that the person you send it to will receive it, all their message will be related to someone/something. Best of all, you'll never need to worry about which email address to send to - the network takes care of that.
Groups
- What are Groups?
- Groups are a method for members to share interests, conduct business, and to have fun. A Chapter has similar features as a Chapter; however, the person who creates the Chapter can chose things like its name, its theme, whether anyone can join or an invitation is needed, etc. Any Chapter that you join will appear on the news feed and display on your Profile in your "Groups" section until the Chapter is deleted or you decide to leave it.
- What are the different types of Groups?
-
-
Personal Groups:
Anyone member can create these and they can be found via your search bar. Examples: "I love Dalmatians Fan Club" or "If You Vote For Me, I'll Shave My Head!" -

- If you click on the Chapter name it will send out invites to all the members as long as there are no more than 1,000 members. The event will then reflect the type of Chapter invited (e.g. invite a Region Chapter, it will become a Region event).
- How do I delete a Chapter?
- Groups without members will automatically be removed from the network. If you created a Chapter and wish to delete it then just remove all its members including yourself (last) and it will be deleted.
- How do I gain administrative access to a Chapter?
- In the Chapter, there is a list of current admins. You need to ask one of these admins to add you as an admin to have administrative access to the Chapter. Only they have the ability to grant administrative privileges.
- How do you post photos to a Chapter?
-
- View the Chapter
- Click on "Add Photos"
- Follow the steps of "Creating a photo album"
- What do I do if I find an offensive Chapter?
- Report it. There is an option to anonymously "report" any Chapter that is offensive in any way. A TKE LIVE representative will review the submission and if the Chapter violates our terms of service it will be removed and depending on the circumstances, the people that are administrating the Chapter may have their accounts suspended.
Chapter
- Can other people see my Chapter home page?
-
Yes, but there are limitations as to what they can see. With your Chapters privacy in
mind and the intent to allow the community to interact, here is how the Chapter
home page is viewed by members and non-members:
-
Visible to only members of your Chapter:
- Events
- Tagged Chapter photos
- Board (optional, set by a Chapter Administrator in "edit" your Chapter)
-
Visible to only your contacts:
- Member personal profiles
-
Visible to everyone on TKE LIVE
- Chapter statistics
- Members
- Administrators
-
Visible to only members of your Chapter:
- I'm in the wrong Chapter, what do I do?
- Your Chapter is set during registration, but if after you sign up you find that you are in the wrong Chapter, contact us and we will be able to move you to the appropriate Chapter. If the new Chapter is locked, the Administrators must first approve you before you are given full access to the Chapter.
- Who can see the events on my Chapter page?
- Only members of your Chapter can see events listed on your Chapter page.
- How do I use the "Phone List" feature?
-
There are currently four phone lists that are accessible to all members of your Chapter,
including alumni:
- New Members (pledges) Fall
- New Members (pledges) Summer
- Actives Fall
- Actives Summer
- Where does the information come from on the Chapter phone list?
- These lists are automatically created when people add contact information to their personal profile in "Edit your Profile". If your members always update their own information, the entire Chapter will always have accurate contact information at all times.
- Is there an Alumni Phone list?
- There will be one available soon, that only Chapter Administrators will be able to see/print. It is currently in development.
- How do I print my Chapters phone list?
- When on the phone list page there is an icon of a printer in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Click on it and you will be taken to a version of the phone list that is printer friendly. On your browser then click "File > Print".
- What is the Chapter board?
- Much like the board on your profile, the chapter board is a great place for members of your Chapter to interact and share ideas. There is an option in "Edit your " that Administrators have access to that can make the Chapter board visible to all or just members of the Chapter.
Region
- What is Region?
- Not all Region are created equal. Some only have three Chapters, and others have forty! The Region page automatically updates itself based on the number of people using TKE LIVE to display things like TKE LIVE Chapters, Groups, a message board, event listings, statistics and photos. You can now easily figure out how you are doing in comparison with everyone else, and communicate more readily to achieve greater things together.
- I'm a member of the wrong Region, what do I do?
- Your Region is set during registration, but if after you sign up you find that you are in the wrong one, contact us and we will be able to move you to the appropriate Region. This will also change the Chapter you belong to, and if the new one is locked, an Administrator must approve you first before you are given full access to the Region.
- How do I create an IFC or Pan-Hellenic group?
- Only Administrators can do this, see "Creating a Region group".
- Chapter is actually much larger than represented on this network, what do I do?
- Make sure that your Administrators are on board and send out as many invites as you can. Everything takes time, especially when it comes to trying new things. Chapters that are motivated can get 80% of their members on here within three months. As long as you keep with it, the rest will follow.
- Who can see Region events?
- Only members of your Region can see Region events.
International
- What is TKE LIVE?
- Everyone is taught things about their International while going through the new member (pledge) process. This is your chance to learn stuff in real-time about your organization and its members. The International page automatically updates itself based on the number of people using TKE LIVE to display things like your Chapters, groups, a message board, event listings, statistics and photos.
- Who updates this page?
- Everyone, but Chapter Administrators have the ability to do more. When a Chapter updates its information, it is automatically displayed on the International page.
- Why aren't all the Chapters of my organization listed on the page?
- The information is based on people using TKE LIVE. If you know somebody in a Chapter that is not listed, send them an invite!
- Who can see International events?
- Only members of your organization can see these events.
- How do I add a photo to International page?
- Any member of your organization can "Tag" a photo that they think represents their organization well. See "How do I tag someone I know in a photo?"
- How do I remove a photo on International page?
- Sometimes what people think is appropriate might not carry across the board. The person who tagged the photo or any Chapter Administrator that is part of the organization can remove the photo by viewing it and clicking on "remove" beside the name of your organization.
- How do I write something on a board?
-
- Click on "Write something on Chapter/Region/International board".
- A drop down will appear with a text field that you can type in.
- Write your message.
- Click "Post".
